The old people remind me that while summer is a time of explosive energy and intensive work, it is also a time that requires great patience and trust.  Like our winged relatives we must wait for our eggs to hatch in their own time, trusting that we have done all that we can to ensure their health and vitality.

Where are the places in your life that require your trust and patience?

How will you know when to step back and let them grow?

This is part of a series of mindfulness prompts that are based in Métis teachings as I know them. They do not represent every teaching, only my interpretation of the teachings I have been gifted.  Each weekly post will be an image specifically designed to fit the lock-screen on your phone. The idea is that you can make mindfulness easy, effective and beautiful all at the same time. Placing each new image on your lock screen will hopefully keep it in the front of your mind and allow you enough time to lean into the learning.
