A slow inhale will hold space for others while a slow exhale leaves space for us.

It is commonly understood by Métis hunters that October is the end of Moose rutting season and the beginning of Moose hunting season.  The lesson is that there is a season for everything that we need, as long as we respect the seasons and needs of our relatives.  From our Eastern Métis relatives, here is a story of how the Métis honour the moose.

This is part of a series of mindfulness prompts that are based in Métis teachings. Each weekly post has an image specifically designed to fit the lock-screen on your phone. The idea is that you can make mindfulness easy, effective and beautiful all at the same time. Placing each new image on your lock screen serves to keep it in the front of your mind while the week allows you enough time to lean into the learning.
