This is part of a new series of mindfulness prompts that are based in Métis teachings. Each weekly post will be an image specifically designed to fit the lock-screen on your phone. The idea is that you can make mindfulness easy, effective and beautiful all at the same time. Placing each new image on your lock screen will hopefully keep it in the front of your mind and allow you enough time to lean into the learning.

My Métis aunties tell me that May is a time for planting. In the early days it was primarily potatoes and turnips at this time as they were placed deep and could handle the unpredictable prairie May weather. What are the teachings from today that you would plant deep so that they might survive the fickle storms of social acceptance.
